Mike Duffy sent me a link to iStockphoto.com, a stock photo place with very low prices for royalty-free photos, like $1.00 or so. They have some really beautiful, interesting images.

I recently designed a site for writer Susan Crandall, which just went live last week. I also installed a new message board at Susan Wiggs' site, and made some updates to Sari Robins' site.

Well, I'm not sure about this photo, but I decided I couldn't justify the $69 for the other one, even though I loved it. So I'll try this one for awhile. I found it at a free stock photo place: stock.xchng.

I just installed a new Message Board at Bertrice Small's site, and it's getting a lot of traffic. She has quite an active group of ladies that post here every day.

Several of my clients are in the spotlight at Writerspace.com this month: Cynthia Hartwick, Susan Wiggs, Bertrice Small and Barbara Bretton.

I was looking for an article from Organic Style magazine, which I just started taking, and ran across these articles about Women Of Substance And Style. From the one about Barbara Kingsolver:

So I grew up with this dual passion: my imagination smitten with books, and my feet flat on the green, green ground."

I've decided to let this design simmer a little bit before I decide on this picture, thus the watermark. It's expensive--$69--so I want to be sure this is the one. There are several others in this collection that I should probably try out first, although I really do like this one. Tea pots and tea cups continue to call to me. There's just something about the idea of tea that appeals to me. It seems to require slowing down. It's impossible, for me at least, to drink a cup of tea in a hurry.

I will slowly be repopulating this site; I probably shouldn't have gone ahead and put the redesign live before I'd figured everything else out, but I'm impatient. It's my worst trait. I admit that I'm powerless over it . . . And I wanted to set up the blog, but didn't want to set it up temporarily, then have to go and change everything. Again, impatience.

I should probably go look for some quotes about impatience. "Measure twice, cut once," comes to mind.
